Good new and bad news for the TP-205V
Good news: This balancer performs its intended function. My Thunder Power
TP-205V auto balancer extends the lives of my packs; e.g., I currently have
several packs that have 160 flights each. I use the TP-205V to balance my
Thunder Power TP2100 3S1P packs during the charging process. As fire
prevention, I keep the charging pack in a steel box so I purchased the
balancerĂ¢â‚¬â„¢s extension cable and located the balancer where its LED displays
are visible.

Bad news: The balancer\'s imbalance indicators and alerts are confusing.
Explanations of the balancers imbalance and alert conditions are available
on the Internet and are provided on a data sheet that comes with the TP-205V

Some examples of the confusing imbalance and alert Conditions are as
follows. When the pack is first connected, an LED illuminates for each cell
in the pack.
Condition 1: yellow on / red on 5 sec / balance less than 0.03V/ charge
Condition 2: yellow off / red flashes 5 sec / balance greater than 0.03V and
less than 0.2V / charge at 0.5C
Condition 3A: yellow off / red flashes 60 sec / beeps 10 sec / balance
greater than 0.2V / balance but donĂ¢â‚¬â„¢t charge
Condition 3B: yellow off / red off / beeps every min for 10 sec / balance
grerater than 0.2V / balance but donĂ¢â‚¬â„¢t charge
Condition 4: yellow flashes / red on 5 sec / less than 3.6 V per cell /
charge normally
Condition 5: yellow flashes / beeps 5 sec / less than 3.2 V per cell
Condition 6A: yellow flashes / beep continuous / greater than 4.3 V per cell
/ over charged
Condition 6B: yellow flashes / beep double / much greater than 4.3 V per
cell / over charged
