rudder fit question on ST Plus

When seating the rudder/stab on to the body...I am about 1/4" shy of the rudder bottom (hinged control surface) being flush with the bottom of the fuselage....is this normal? I can do some sanding to get this flush....looks like it needs to be flush when trial fitting the tail wheel bracket. Also, the hole where the tail wheel bracket fits inside the rudder was not pre drilled? Any recommendations appreciated....I am quick to modify when things dont look right

Make sure the bottom of the vertical stab is not hitting the horizontal joiner tube. You may need to sand/cut or notch the bottom of the vertical stab to get the flush fit.
