Pilot-1 Gilmore Red Lion: When will the manual be available?

    Hi All,

The manual was not available when the product was released...
and I've been waiting for the manual ever since.

I've also phoned Hobby Lobby and spoke with Mike (?) the person who designed the plane
and understand that he had some health issues which delayed the manual when the plane was released.

Does anyone have any documentation of any kind? Or a copy of the manual?
If anything, please send me the "Center of Gravity" measurement.

    Thanks,

    Bob I.

    Bob

I am really sorry that my accident put such a delay into this project. I do have quite a few instruction photos that I just sent to you. Please look them over and let me know what questions they generate. I realize that this is not a great way to be doing this and again apologize for the delay.

Regarding the CG, we have been flying ours with the CG set right at the main wing tube and this was acheived without the need for any balast at all. The batteries (12S) were just about to the front of the battery box. I did mount everything fairly far forward including mounting the 2100mAh pack for the voltage regulator on the side of the motor mount inside the cowl.

    Propeller type/size?

    Hi Mike,

What was the Prop which you used in your set up?
Hobby Lobby's web site recommends the following propeller with the Axi 5345/16....

    20 x 13" F3A Carbon Fiber Propeller (by Axi ?)

    Is this the same one?

    Thanks,

    Bob I.

    Rigging for landing gear.

Is the rigging purely for aesthetics or does this serve to create an articulated landing gear, simulating shocks?

    Thanks,

    Bob I.

The rigging is really just for scale looks although they do get some load transferred through to them.

Should this be the official 1/4 Red Lion Thread?
