    EPO F-86 and MIG

After many, many flights by many, many pilots I had to write about how great these 2 aircraft are both in value, durability and flight performance.

The F-86 was assembled and flown about 30 days of flying before the MIG arrived. They both fly extrememly well and are very durable.

Both fly very well stock. Here are a couple of oberservations / suggestions after a lot of flying.

    F-86
The aircraft flies better with just the Y connector on the ailerons. No need for any differential.
Durablity increases if the servo tray is glued in with a little epoxy on the 4 corners of the tray.
The fan was hitting the outer shroud on the first run up. This was traced to the bullet connectors between the ESC and the motor not being positioned correctly and pushing on the shroud, distorting it. Repositioning the bullet connectors solved the problems.
An additional zip tie on the ESC will keep the ESC from moving forward and disconnecting it from the motor.
The battery was moved back a bit to improve inverted flight.

    MIG
Use the Y connector on the ailerons. No need for differential.
Durability increases if the servo tray is glued in with a little epoxy at all mounting locations.
An additional zip tie on the ESC will keep the ESC from moving forward and disconnecting it from the motor.
The "easy connector" on each elevator was eliminated. The pushrod was simply bent into the control horn.
DO NOT MOVE THE BATTERY BACK AT ALL IN THE MIG. KEEP IT FULLY FORWARD! If the battery is moved back the aircraft may fly if you throw it hard enough (key word is "may") but more often than not will stall and flop on takeoff.

Full power touch and goes on grass or a hard surface are a blast.

These are great machines and a hit wherever we go!
