HELP! F-16 Speed Controller - Fast Beeping

    Hello!
I have nearly finished building the F-16 360 w/ 70mm EDF. For some reason the speed controller will not initialize correctly at startup. When I try to power up the plane, the speed controller just beeps once and then there is a brief pause and then it continues to beep fast and won't stop (about 3 beeps per second). I've tried two different receivers and have re-wired the EDF with all the different combinations (Red, Blue, Black) - the wires that come off the EDF are all yellow though.
I tried using a different 4-cell battery as well w/ the same results.

I've checked to make sure the throttle is down, not reversed and Iíve trimmed down the throttle.
I also tried attaching a spare 20amp speed controller and also get the same fast beeps.
What am I forgetting? Is the motor or speed controler bad?

Check to see if the throttle channel is reversed.
    That can cause this.
If that does not do it then if it is still under warranty put in a
technical request to Hobby Lobby to replace the ESC.

    Hi Jay,
Thanks for your reply. The throttle channel was not reversed.

The solution, at startup is to; 1) connect battery w/ throttle at lowest point, 2) Once battery is connected, wait for inital beep, 3) take throttle up to 100% and wait for a short beep sequence, 4) throttle back to 0% and wait for final beep sequence from speed controller and then all systems are go.

Wow, That goes along with what I have just been posting on the ESC's.
Here is what I find to match the ESC's the the throttle throw on the ESC's.

There is NO programming for ESC's.
They come from the manufacturer being already set up for the plane they are installed.
The one thing that you can program is the throttle starting point.

Turn on the transmitter and put the throttle all the way up to maximum
then plug in the airplane battery, wait for two quick beeps and then pull the
transmitter throttle stick down to low.
Then check the motor to verify it's throttle response to the stick.
This is only useful if the motor does not start immediately, but rather engages at 1/4 to 1/2 stick travel."

But I had not seen where it kept the motor from starting at all.
Glad you let me know about that.
