Electric SAM flying and sharing Old Timers

OK, I have to admit I cajoled Jason into this one.
I admit my first love is flying the Old Timers and I fly them with electric.
Yes, I had my stick time with Fuel starting in the mid '60s and up to about '85 and then I converted
    totally over to electric flying.
There was a spell in electric saiplanes and then some pure sailplanes.
I got introduced into Old Timers back in the early 90's and that meant to me that they had
to fly with electric and if I fly Old Timers I had to fly them in competition. So I got involved in
    SAM Society of Antique Modelers.

That's the background and the where as.

Re: Electric SAM flying and sharing Old Timers

I am offering up my experience with Old Timer electric conversions and assistance in this
    forum.
Also so build projects that I am currently working on with Electric Old Timer conversions.

I find that electric and Old Timers make for the perfect pair even is some claim it is out of the character
    of the model.
    What are your thoughts?

    SAM Success

I have to brag just a little, as many of you know I am heavily involved in SAM flying and SAM competition
I only fly electric power events with my SAM models and have been doing quite well.
This year I was fortunate enough to win the SAM Elecrtric Championship again.
That makes 4 Championships out of the last 8 years.
The excellent help I get from Hobby Lobby in the past is a major factor in my success.
This year I won 3 of the 5 events, second in one and 5th in the last.
    That being:
2nd LMR with a 1600 sq. in. Airborn
1st Texaco with a 1600 sq. in Airborn
1st SOS with a 190 sq in. Wren
1st Wakefield with a 190 sq in Gypsy
    5th Speed 400 with a 340 sq in. Airborn
